Jack Sparrow is standing on the captain's bridge of the Black Pearl and looking through a spyglass. He sees a merchant vessel. Lowers the spyglass and turns to the chief mate Joshamee Gibbs standing beside.
JACK
Grapple them, Mr. Gibbs.
Gibbs repeats the order aloud for the crew.
GIBBS
Action stations! Ready all! Hoist sails! Get the grappling irons ready!
LOCATION. THE OFFING. DAY.
Black Pearl catches up with the merchant vessel and boards it.
THE BLACK PEARL. DECK. DAY
Jack Sparrow's crew hook the merchant vessel board with grappling irons, unsheathe the swords and rush to the rivals' deck.
MERCHANT VESSEL. DECK. DAY
Sailors of the merchant ship show no sign of defending themselves. They huddle together shaking in their shoes. In front of them the Captain of the merchant ship on bended knees holding a tray with a bottle of rum and a small shot-glass. Jack's crew surrender and threaten them. Jack approaches. The Captain asks Jack, smiling.
CAPTAIN OF THE MERCHANT SHIP
Do not kill us. Better ask my relatives. They can give a considerable ransom. Do not kill us!
Jack thinks, folding his hands on his stomach like a preacher. The captain of the merchant ship pours rum into the glass and offers Jack.
CAPTAIN OF THE MERCHANT SHIP
it's the best rum in the world, captain. I heard pirates love rum.
Jack takes the shot-glass guzzles it down and breathes out as if to smell the odor.
JACK
Put them in the hold.
CAPTAIN OF THE MERCHANT SHIP
Thank you, captain. You will never regret making this decision.
Passes the tray to Gibbs. Captives are taken to the Black Pearl.
GIBBS
Captain, when did you learn to drink from such small glasses?
JACK
Since they learned to make such small bottles.
Takes the bottle from the tray, swigs off a half straight of the bottle, breathes out blissfully, puts the bottle back on the tray.
JACK
To tell the truth, it beats me why the make small glasses?
GIBBS
For women, perhaps, sir?
JACK
Yeah, perhaps for women.
FRENCH PIRATE SHIP. CAPTAIN'S BRIDGE. DAY.
On the captain's bridge Chevalle stands, one of the Brethren Court, Pirate Lords of the Seven seas. Chevalle looks through the spyglass and sees a small vessel with gold-couched sails.
CHEVALLE
Ohhh! Grapple them!
Chevalle's chief mate repeats the order aloud for the crew.
CHEVALLE'S CHIEF MATE
Action stations! Ready all! Hoist sails! Get the grappling irons ready!
LOCATION. THE OFFING. DAY.
Chevalle's vessel chases the ship with gold-couched sails.
FRENCH PIRATE SHIP. CAPTAIN'S BRIDGE. DAY.
Chevalle proudly stands on the captain's bridge feasting his eyes on the golden sails. Chief mate stands beside.
CHEVALLE
Leave the sails! We'll hang them on our ship!
The chief mate nods, accidentally looks round and changes countenance. He utterly losses his voice, and being able only to mumble, slightly beats Chevalle on his back. Chevalle turns round and sees two military frigates with British flags overhauling them. British frigates follow in ranks. Having overhauled the pirate the frigates go forward and clutch the pirates ship in between.
The ship with gold-couched sails which they have reached as well, opens stern-part gun hatches and several guns come out of them. On the military frigates decks there is a considerate number of soldiers with rifles in readiness waiting for a signal to start an attack. Chevalle first touches the handle of his sword but at once jerks his hand away. He hands up slowly. His crew follows him and throws the guns away.
LOCATION. MILITARY FRIGATE. CAPTAIN'S BRIDGE. DAY.
On the bridge stands Cutler Beckett, a man in his middle thirties. Lieutenant Bricks brings Chevalle closer. Bricks introduces Beckett.
BRICKS
Lord Beckett.
Beckett turns round.
BECKETT
Cutler Beckett. And you, if I am not mistaken, monsieur Chevalle?
CHEVALLE
I have always honored the British Crown.
BECKETT
It's quite praiseworthy.
SUMBHAJEE'S PIRATES SHIP. CAPTAIN'S BRIDGE. DAY.
On the captain's bridge stands one of the Brethren Court, Pirate Lords of the Seven seas. Sumbhajee Angria looks through the spyglass and sees a small vessel with gold-couched sails.
SUMBHAJEE
What a luxurious vessel! The Providence sent us such a trophy. Get the grapples ready!
Sumbhajee's chief mate repeats the order aloud for the crew.
SUMBHAJEE'S CHIEF MATE
Action stations! Ready all! Hoist sails! Get the grappling irons ready!
LOCATION. THE OFFING. DAY.
Sumbhajee's ship chases the ship with gold-couched sails.
SUMBHAJEE'S PIRATES SHIP. CAPTAIN'S BRIDGE. DAY.
Sumbhajee stands on the bridge. He sees that his ship has almost caught up the ship with gold-couched sails. Sumbhajee shouts to is crew.
SUMBHAJEE
Carefully! Do not break anything there. I'm going to keep the ship for myself.
And that moment Sumbhajee with a peripheral vision notices that on both sides of his ship rises something dark and big. He hesitates watching aside6 but then anyway slowly turns his head. He sees British military frigates, catching him up from both sides.
LOCATION. MILITARY FRIGATE. CAPTAIN'S BRIDGE. DAY.
Walter Beckett stands on the bridge. Lieutenant Bricks brings Sumbhajee closer.
BRICKS
Lord Beckett.
Beckett turns round.
SUMBHAJEE
Lord Beckett, how fortunate! I knew your father very well. He was an eminent person.
BECKETT
no doubts. East India Company is still not a stranger for you, isn't it?
Sumbhajee grins in too wide smile, in which lots of fear is discernible.
LOCATION. THE OFFING. DAY.
A pulling boat moors to the sideboard of Queen's Ann Revenge. Out of the boat right to the deck ascends a man dressed like a pirate. Then he climbs to the captain's bridge where Hector Barbossa is standing. New-comer starts telling something jively to Barbossa. His gestures make it clear that he talks of two military frigates surrounding a pirates ship. Bardossa, having listened to the pirate, leans back. He looks very anxious.
INTERIOR. INSIDE A DIRTY EATING-HOUSE. DAY.
Jack Sparrow its at the table with a slut-looking girl. The table is quite befouled. It's evident, that Jack has been sitting for a long time. Jack tells lies to the girl.
JACK
No, I'm a courier. I have to deliver heaps of letters during the day! To the end of the day my crunches are sore from all this walking. I do need some rest.
GIRL
Where o you have so much money from, Mr. Courier?
JACK
Ohh, kin old ladies always give me gratuity. And altogether women respect me a lot.
GIRL
So what does a courier need a sword for?
JACK
A sword? Well, I just leaning on it while walking. If I drink too much rum, I stagger. I really need something to lean on. Do you see what I mean, pretty? Heaps of letters, miles of walking. I used to have a stick before. I used to lean on stick, but I've lost it somehow. Now then I have to walk with a sword.
Barbossa enters the room.
BARBOSSA
Ohh, look who it ain't. Captain Jack Sparrow.
JACK
Hector, why so officialese?
GIRL
A captain?
JACK
Pretty, we, couriers like in the Army, all have to address each other in ranks.
(to Barbossa)
Take a seat, captain.
Barbossa tosses up a coin with his thumbnail. ногтём большого пальца подкидывает в воздух монетку. The girl dexterously catches the coin in the air.
BARBOSSA
(to the girl)
Go, pretty.
(to Jack)
I see things are going well, aren't they, Jack?
The girl leaves.
JACK
The things are going OK. As usual.
BARBOSSA
What's new?
JACK
I heard nothing that could curb my appetite, at least.
BARBOSSA
Well and good? Then apologize me for spoiling your appetite, Jack.
JACK
Things are so bad?
BARBOSSA
You decide. It seems as if someone tends to exterminate the Pirate Lords of Brethren Court.
JACK
How many then?
BARBOSSA
I've heard of two.
JACK
Life's changing.

It's true. Pirates used to be respected before.
JACK
I'd like to know, whose is this venture?
BARBOSSA
We need a bait to know this.
JACK
A bait?
BARBOSSA
A bait, yes. Fisherman always do like that when they want to catch some fish. Haven't you heard?

BARBOSSA
You have the fastest vessel!
JACK

BARBOSSA
It's not necessarily you. Borrow me your ship for a while and I'll do this on my own hook.
JACK
I can't borrow you the Black Pearl. You know it's my biggest treasure.
BARBOSSA
Otherwise we are all dead-men, one by one. Who knows who's next? Maybe I? Maybe even you?
JACK
I'll prefer being a bait.
BARBOSSA
I knew I can back on you.
THE BLACK PEARL. CAPTAIN'S BRIDGE. DAY.
Jack Sparrow stand on the captain's bridge an looks through the spyglass. He sees a ship with gold-couched sails.
JACK
One bait chasing another bait.
GIBBS
Sir? Get the the grappling irons ready?
JACK
Nope.
GIBBS
Hoist the sails?
JACK
Set the sails a little.
GIBBS
But we won't get them soon this way.
JACK
Exactly, we won't.

The Black Pearl chases the ship with gold-couched sails.
THE BLACK PEARL. DECK. DAY
The pirates admires the golden sails?
PINTEL
Golden sails! Why anyone would put such treasure on a mast.
A PIRATE NEARBY
Don't you see? To show off their fortune.
PINTEL
I've never liked too wealthy jerks! Waste gold on sails! So much clothes could have been made out of it. One can sew pants out of this fabric!
RAGETTI
Where in the world would you go in the golden pants?
PINTEL
Make acquaintances with girls. In golden pants the prettiest one will be mine!
OTHER PIRATES VOICES
I want golden pants too!
PINTEL
You can make a golden raglan too!
OTHER PIRATES VOICES
Indeed, one can make golden raglans too!
RAGETTI
No, raglans need lots of fabric to make. If we make raglans too, we won't have enough sails for everyone.
A PIRATE NEARBY
Just let anyone try to take my share for raglans!
ANOTHER PIRATE
Are you dumb? They said we have enough only for pants.
A PIRATE NEARBY
I wanna raglan too!
ANOTHER PIRATE
why shall you have both pants and raglan? You think you're better than others?
APIRATE NEARBY

ANOTHER PIRATE
I can stay without pants because of your raglan!
A PIRATE NEARBY

Another pirate hits A pirate nearby to the cheekbone. A big scuffle starts. Meanwhile two military frigates appear behind the Black Pearl. Jack shoots off.
JACK
Silence!
(Points behind)
There the bring lots of raglans. And all made-to measure? Does anyone want to go to the fitting rooms?
The pirate stop fighting and run to the sideboard where thy can see the military frigates.
PIRATES
(shout)
It's Her Majety's navy! Captain, we gotta get the move on!
JACK
Gibbs, and now hoist the sails. Keep downwind.
LOCATION. THE OFFING. DAY.
The Black Pearl gives up chasing the vessel with gold-couched sails and turns aside. The military frigtes pursue her but the distance between them grows bigger and bigger.
THE BLACK PEARL. DECK. DAY
the pirates, looking overboard, show indecent signs towards the military frigates.
LOCATION. GEORGETOWN ISLAND. DAY
Barbossa with the group of armed people disembark near Beckett's residence. Residence is guarded with only a few soldiers. The soldiers first point their guns, but then low them down, lay them to the ground, put their hands up but then finally run away. Barbossa and his people find no obstacle to approach the entrance of the residence. They enter.
INTERIOR. КАБИНЕТ БЕККЕТА. ДЕНЬ.
Beckett stands at the window. Beside him stands his servant Jamba, a frightful huge black guy. The door opens and Barbossa together with his crew enters the room.
BARBOSSA
You have sent all the soldiers to catch the pirates, haven't you? Didn't leave anyone to boyguard yourself?
BECKETT
Captain Barbossa, aren't you?
BARBOSSA
Exactly. And perhaps I may know how to call you?
BECKETT
Lord Beckett.
Barbossa raises his eyebrows with dubious expression.
BECKETT
Walter Beckett.
BARBOSSA
It's quite unexpected. Anyway, I don't think it really matters.
BECKETT
May I offer you some tea or coffee?
BARBOSSA
I'd rather have some rum.
BECKETT
You have a perfect taste, sir.
He gives Jamba a sign. He takes out a bottle of wine, pours it into two glasses and serves.
BARBOSSA
You don't look too concerned of my appearance.
BECKETT
You see, Mr. Barbossa…
BARBOSSA
Captain Barbossa.
BECKETT
My apologies, captain Barbossa. A person who cherishes a dream has no time to be concerned....
BARBOSSA
You cherish a dream? May I ask you...
BECKETT
Money.
BARBOSSA
Hmmm. Quite a worthy dream, but I haven't caught the gist anyway.
BECKETT
It's too crowded to discuss such a ticklish subject.
Barbossa glances at his companions with a hint They leave the room unwillingly.
COMPANIONS
We're right behind the door, captain.
Beckett gives Jamba a sign to leave them alone. Jamba goes to the balcony
INTERIOR. ELIZABETH
Elizabeth Swan seats at the window with her eyes fixed on the ocean's horizon. She has in her eyes the moment Will Turner tells her: Don't tear your eyes off the horizon. She sighs slightly. Her son, Peter Turner comes up to her. He's nineteen.
PETER
Mum, you didn't even have a bite today.
Elizabeth leans to her sons arm. Then she says.
ELIZABETH
All right, Peter. I'll be in a moment.
INTERIOR. BECKETTS STUDY. DAY.
Beckett seats at his desk. Barbossa walks excitedly to and fro.
BARBOSSA
But why, for the God's sake, you needed to catch the Lords of Brethren Court?
BECKETT
The fact is I need the whole army of trained and armed people. I have no way to borrow Her Majesty's navy.
BARBOSSA
It's not what I'm talking about. It's a snap to gather all the Lords together.. I can handle this.
BECKETT
Perhaps, I should have had your advice before, but I couldn't even imagine it being possible..
BARBOSSA
When the matter is gold, gentlemen of fortune needn't be chased. They appear out of the blue by themselves and on their free will.
BECKETT
Then I'm glad to have a wise counselor in your person.
BARBOSSA
So Chevalle and Sumbhajee are here as well?
BECKETT
Right.
BARBOSSA
Can I pay them a visit?
BECKETT
No doubt, captain. But before we go straight with fulfilling of our plan I would like to make one provision.
BARBOSSA
I hear you.
BECKETT
My father's death was somehow connected with the Black Pearl, whose captain is a certain Jack Sparrow?
BARBOSSA
Yes, you're right.
BECKETT
Good, then, before we start, I would be pleased to see that Jack hanging on the yard. It's of great importance to me.
Barbossa thinks.
BARBOSSA
Jack Sparrow is one of the Brethren Court, Pirate Lord of the Seven Seas and his hanging on the yard in public can be taken by the rest of the Lords rather unfavorably.
BECKETT
That is my condition.
BARBOSSA
Why don't we just bring him to some desert island in the middle of the ocean where he'll slowly die of starvation by his own? I want to underline: by his own. Into the bargain, we''l leave him with a gun loaded with one bullet. In case he doesn't want to wait for torturous starvation death he'll blow out his brains himself. Note: himself.
BECKETT
And who's gonna bring him there?
BARBOSSA
His own mutinied crew, of course.
BECKETT
And you are able to organize this, captain?
BARBOSSA
Absolutely, sir. I will need some assistance, though.
BECKETT
What kind of assistance?
BARBOSSA
To have a talk with the Black Pearl crew, we need to lure Jack from the ship for some time.
BECKETT
Lure him where?
BARBOSSA
At your place, for instance.
BECKETT
At mine? What for?
BARBOSSA
For a chat.
BECKETT
Well? I'm quite up to chatting.
(shouts)
Jamba!
Jamba enters the room
BECKETT
I want to invite captain Jack Sparrow here.
JAMBA
Why,sir?
BECKETT
It's a very relevant question. At one make up a reason why.
BARBOSSA
It's a go! May I see my friends Lords?
BECKETT

Beckett and Barbossa descend the stone steps. Beckett points at the small window in the wall. Barbossa puts his eye to the hole. He sees Chevalle and Sumbhajee seating at the table inside the prison cell. The table is covered with all possible dishes. He sees slags on their knees.
CHEVALLE
Sailor, wheres our rum? Are we to wait till the end of the days? Is it a prison or an eating house? No discipline!
A sailor with a tray enters the ward. There's a bottle of rum on the tray.
SUMBHAJEE
Speed up a little. Or it seems as if we're naturally in some eating house.
Beckett silently wonders if Barbossa is satisfied. Barbossa shows that he is.
THE BLACK PEARL. DECK. DAY
Jack Sparrow stands on the deck. He sees a pulling boat approaching the board of his ship. Inside seat Jamba and oarsmen. Having reached the ship, Jamba ascends the deck and sees Jack.
JAMBA
Jack Sparrow? The most distinguished captain of the Caribbean sea?
Jack inspects his crew. Then looks at Jamba again.
JACK
Yes, it's me. I'm captain Jack Sparrow.
JAMBA
Sir, I'm sent to notify that lord Beckett is looking forward seeing you.
JACK
Why would lord Beckett want to meet me? By the way, lord Beckett I used to know is no longer alive.
JAMBA
Unfortunately, I'm totally unaware which lord Beckett you knew. This lord can possibly be his relative. As well I don't know what his reasons are. Lords are not always serving notice to the servants about their wishes.
JACK
He may as well wish to catch me and shackle.
JAMBA
Oh, never in the world sir! I was ordered to guarantee you safety . Lord Beckett gave his word.
JACK
If not the chains, then where?
JAMBA
I consider he wants to discuss some business proposition.
JACK
Business between a lord and a captain of the pirates ship? cЛорд с капитаном пиратского судна?
JAMBA
Time is changing, sir. Nowadays mutual interest overcomes prejudice.

Jack Sparrow descends from the deck to the pulling boat together with Jamba.
JACK
(to Gibbs)
If I'm not back alive and kicking by the lunchtime, blow this island out.
GIBBS
Yes, sir!

Jack Sparrow with Jamba disembark and go towards lord Beckett's residence.
THE BLACK PEARL. DECK. DAY
Barbossa ascends the deck of the Black Pearl. Pirates surround him.
GIBBS
We are glad to see you, sir.
BARBOSSA
Greetings, my friend.
GIBBS
But captain is away.
BARBOSSA
Its better then. You'll get to know the news at first hand.
GIBBS
Good news, sir?
BARBOSSA
News couldn't be better for a pirate.
GIBBS
Then don't make us wait, captain!
BARBOSSA
The things I'm going to tell are really important. They can utterly change your lives.
GIBBS
All our attention, captain!
BARBOSSA
The matter is... the Lords of Seven Seas have united and made up an ingenious plan. And at the end of the chain are... ten ships full of gold!
CREW WHISPERING
Ten ships of gold?
GIBBS
Ten ships of gold?
BARBOSSA
Right you are, ten ships of gold.
GIBBS
Where in the world one can find so much gold?
BARBOSSA
So much gold? You all know this place very well.
INTERIOR. LORD BECKETT'S STUDY. DAY.
Jack Sparrow awaits in the study. Jamba pours rum in his glass.
JACK
Maybe lord Beckett left somewhere?
JAMBA
No, no. He'll be here just in a moment.
Lord Beckett comes in.
BECKETT
Oh, distinguished captain Jack Sparrow. It has been my dream to meet you for a long time. I've heard a lot about you.
JACK
Your servant said, that you heard only good?
BECKETT

JACK

BECKETT

Continuation of the conversation between Barbossa an the crew of the Black Pearl.
BARBOSSA
There's so much gold that every pirates ship will need to take one empty ship with it.
THE PIRATES
A ship of gold for each! If divided for everyone, how much can it be? A human cannot lift so much gold!
BARBOSSA
But do you understand that our dear pirate queen Elizabeth will hit a bad patch in her life for a while?
PINTEL
Yes, we feel pity for Elizabeth.
RAGETTI
We all loved her really much.
BARBOSSA
Can you imagine how much pity will Jack Sparrow feel?
PINTEL
Yes, captain was very attached to Elizabeth. I even thought they would get married. But if one behave badly towards her... Our captain is not a person who will bear an insult.
BARBOSSA
That was a very accurate observation, Pintel. That was exactly what I was talking about.
RAGETTI
About what, sir?
BARBOSSA
About that for the sake of Elizabeth, Jack will definitely make some trick and spoil everything. And then you will have to whistle for gold.
PINTEL
What are we gonna do, sir?
BARBOSSA
There's only one way out. We need to debark Jack to some island.
Silence hangs in the air.
BARBOSSA
Well, a ship of gold is just a figurative expression. There' not only gold there, of course.
RAGETTI
And what's else there,sir?
BARBOSSA
Diamonds
(pirates start to whisper one to another)
Emeralds
(whisper becomes louder)
Rubies.
(sighs of longing are heard everywhere)
Dioptases
(the crowd falls silent, worried)
No, how can dioptases be in the Indian ocean? Diamonds, emeralds.
The crow cheers again.
RAGETTI
But we have to betray our captain Jack.
BARBOSSA
Oh, it's not the first time, Ragetti! Moreover it's the most worthwhile affair in the whole your life! Just think of all those diamonds and gold waiting for you! Then decide are you for me or for Jack Sparrow?
THE CROWD
For you, sir!
BARBOSSA
Gibbs, I didn't hear your voice for. Are you going to the island with Jack or hoist your flag on the Black Pearl?
GIBBS
I could, certainly, take the command of the ship...
BARBOSSA
Then hoist your flag, Mr. Gibbs!
GIBBS
Captain Gibbs?
BARBOSSA
Mr. Gibbs.
INTERIOR. LORD BECKETT'S STUDY. DAY.
Beckett pours next cup of tea to Jack Sparrow. Jack is slightly irritated.
BECKETT
And this habit of infusing only dried tea leaves is absolutely nonsense. I assume you. Europe just has no chance to infuse freshly picked tea...
JACK
Excuse me, sir. You keep talking about tea. When you say tea do you mean tea?
BECKETT
Yes, saying tea, I mean tea.
JACK
Just tea?
BECKETT
Ordinary tea.
JACK
And nothing else?
BECKETT
Absolutely nothing.
JACK
My gratitude, sir. Now I know absolutely everything about tea. But I have to go promptly.
Jack approaches the door. Beckett calls him after.
BECKETT
It's a pity, sir. I hope one day we'll meet and you won't be so preoccupied with your own business.
LOCATION. THE BLACK PEARL. DAY.
A pulling boat with Jack Sparrow inside sails to the side board of the Black Pearl. No one serves him with an accommodation ladder. He sees somebody else's boat tied to the board.
JACK
Somebody's boat and no sign of the crew. Something's going on here.
Barbossa's head appears over the board.
JACK
Hector, what are you doing on my ship?
BARBOSSA
It's very uncomfortable to tell you, Jack. But it's not your ship anymore.
JACK
You had enough time to persuade my crew?
BARBOSSA
(screws up his face)
Oach! You spend so much time with Beckett that I can only wonder how talkative you are! Columbus would have discovered America for the second time!
JACK
It was you together with Becket to make up the plan!
THE BLACK PEARL. DECK. DAY
Barbossa keeps talking with Jack. The rest of the crew is hiding from Jack overboard. They feel ashamed.
BARBOSSA
Oh, it's not about me. Your crew doesn't want you to be a captain any more. And you know the Rules...
JACK
What dis you promise them this time?
BARBOSSA
Come on, Jack. You are the most unlucky captain in the whole Atlantic ocean! Everybody knows that. You've known all the time that this will be the end. So, don't drag your performance out in vain. Get in my boat, I'll take you to the marvelous place!
(to Gibbs)
Set the boat ladder!
LOCATION. SEASIDE TOWN. STREET. DAY.
Pirates are pillaging the town. They take out everything from the houses without remainder. Clothes, kitchen utensils, domestic animals. Three pirates caught a young girl ant make an attempt to rape her. Peter Turner appears out of the blue. He takes out his sword and hurries up to the girl's rescue.
PETER

The pirates continue their attempts. One of the pirates cries to Peter, turning round.
FIRST PIRATE

Peter grasps one's pirates shoulder and pushes him away. The pirates leave the girl and she runs away.
SECOND PIRATE

The two pirates surround Peter. The first knocks out the sword out of Peter's hand and they drive him into the corner. The pirate takes out a knife and puts it to Peter's gorge.
FIRST PIRATE
Wished to see the color of your guts? Better go the doctor. We not gonna put the guts back inside.
The second pirates slows down. He stares at Peter's face with great attention.
SECOND PIRATE

Barbossa and Gibbs leave the room. Elizabeth rushes to the globe to find the place Giggs was pointing at.

Pirates under Barbossa's command load the boats. Barbossa feeds the monkey sitting on his shoulder. Gibbs helps Elizabeth to place her stuff in the boat. Peter appears.
PETER

The beggar looks at him as at the madman and hurries away.

The Lords gathered for the Council. Ammand, Villanueva, Mistress Ching and Jocard are sitting at the table. Their assistants are standing behind their backs. Barbossa comes in.
BARBOSSA
I'm pleased that respected Lords accepted my invitation and came to this place.
VILLANUEVA
Where are the rest of the Lords? Moreover, I heard that the two of us were captured.

Total scuffle starts in the eating house. Then it's over and the participants are sitting holding the hurt parts.
FIRST SAILOR

It all has happened because of this brat. Can we leave him without a nice bathe with the swines? We all got through this.
The crowd buzzes with approval. They lift up Peter and bring him to the piggery. They start to swing him to and fro, to through him to the swines on count three.
FIRST SAILOR

PETER

The people swinging Peter on count three do not throw Peter but keep him in the air. They then very cautiously put hm back to the ground. The first sailor fusses over Peter and asks.

Will Turner is standing on the captain's bridge observing Fervantee atoll. Boatswaine and Bootstrap Bill Turner are standing beside. It can be seen that the way to the harbour is blocked by the Lords' ships.

Flying Dutchman is moving forward the underwater tunnel. They see the end of it. Just at the very exit from the tunnel there goes down thick, solid grating made of f metal. Behind the ship falls the grating of a kind. The crew is indignant with it. Will signs the sailors to move on the bottom of the tunnel. The crew with swords and guns in readiness squeeze through the rods of the grating and continue their way along the bottom of the tunnel.

Outraged crew of the Flying Dutchman led by Will Turner appear from the water near the shore. On the beach there's a long set-out table one end of which is on the ground and another is in the water. At the head of the table on the ground side Beckett is sitting. Will's people surround him and aim their weapons at him. Will remains in the water.

BECKETT

The ship is located near White Palm island. Teague, Peter and the rest of the team are standing on the deck. Teague's sailors bring Jack Sparrow to the ship. They throw a companion way. Jack ascends the companion way and stands on the deck.

JACK

The decks of two ships are very close to each other. Pirates start shooting from the handguns. They throw grappling irons and grapple the board with them. They pull to eliminate the gap and jump to the other deck. When the gap is eliminated, the pirates attack. Peter is standing not understanding what is going on. The chief mate appears out of the blue behind Peter.
TEAGUE'S CHIEF MATE
Unsheathe you sword. Go ahead, brat!
He pushes Peter in the back. Peter jumps to the other side. A giant black man is drawing near to him. He raises threateningly at Peter. Then an Old Pirate bumps the black man on the head. The Old pirate shouts to Peter.
OLD PIRATE
Why do you stop dead? Stir your stumps before they chop them off!
Peter unsheathes his sword and starts fighting together with the pirates. Jack Sparrow scrambles out of the hatch on the merchant ship deck. He holds a big head of cheese in his hand. Jack carries it cautiously in his hands to his ship, smelling it on his way. A Frenchman with a sword knock the head of cheese out of Jack's hands. It flies and disappears in the water overboard. Jack was taken away the most precious thing for the moment. In grief and at the same time with a burst of indignation he pulls his hands and wants to strangle the Frenchman.
JACK
It was the last head of cheese!!!
The Frenchman leans back in horror, sticking out his sword but at once takes to his heels. Jack rushes to him. The Frenchman runs across the deck and jumps overboard. Jack looks at the spot and shakes his fist.
JACK
Just let me get hold of you!
INTERIOR. MERCHANT SHIP. CABIN. DAY.
In the cabin there is poor scared Jessica – a young charming French girl. The doors swing open. Peter with a sword in his hand bursts into the room. The French girl gets herself in the corner in horror. Peter notices the beauty of the girl and stops in embarrassment. Then he drops a curtsey.
PETER
You shouldn’t worry, mademoiselle. Nothing's gonna harm you.
Peter looks at his sword covered in blood. He wipes the blood and hides it in his sheathe.
LOCATION. CAPTAIN TEAGUE'S SHIP. DECK. DAY.
Near the mast captivated guards of French merchant ship are huddled together. Pirates surrounded them. The French girl stands near Peter, catching hold of his hand. Near Captain Teague's ship there's the French ship on fire.
TEAGUE'S CHIEF MATE
What are we gonna do with the captives?
TEAGUE
Overboard, walk on the plank.
Boatswain tears out the French girl from Peter and throws her to the bunch of captives.
TEAGUE'S CHIEF MATE
Have you heard the captain's order?
Peter grasps the French girl from the bunch of captives and shields her.
PETER
Are you going to drown this girl?
TEAGUE'S CHIEF MATE
captain's orders are not to be discussed!
Peter unsheathes his swords and raises it, showing that he is ready to protect the girl.
TEAGUE'S CHIEF MATE
Captain, if his mother is the Queen, then anything goes, everything goes?
PETER
The Queen?
The Pirates raise the weapons too and approach Peter.
TEAGUE'S CHIEF MATE
What is your word, Captain?
JACK
It seems to me, I know what to say.

Pirate ships go in full sail in the offing. Ten captured merchant ships follow them. The Flying Dutchman comes to the surface nearby. Will Turner is standing on the captain's bridge.

Peter together with the French girl Jessica are in the cabin.
JESSICA
Are you a pirate?
PETER
I don't know who I am. And why is my mother the Queen? No one would explain me anything.
JESSICA

PETER

Teague, Jack and Peter are standing on the bridge.

JACK

The Cook furiously drives a big knife into the table and leaves. Jessica gets scared.
PETER
We're all alone now though, No one will interfere.
Peter and Jessica continue to cook together. Peter accidentally touches Jessica. She squeezes near him in the tiny galley. Peter smells the odor of her hair.

The pirates on the deck are tasting fish prepared by Jessica. Food6 prepared by Jessica, catches their fancy. Jessica goes to and fro, giving to the willing another helping.
PIRATE
I've never thought fish can be so delicious.
PIRATE'S NEIGHBOR
They cooked like this at home.
OLD PIRATE
(wishing to tell a compliment to Jessica)
Miss, guys are actually happy the didn't throw you overboard.
Jack is standing near the sideboard. Jessica comes close to him.
JESSICA
Would you like another helping?
JACK
Another? I haven't tried the main course.
JESSICA

JACK
Old pirates joke. Never mind.
Peter appears on the deck. He sees Jack telling something to Jessica. Jessica is laughing at his tales. Peter approaches them resolutely.
PETER
Jessica, it's time for us to go.
JESSICA
Go where?
PETER
That's enough, let's go.
JESSICA
But Jack wanted to tell me hoe he was swallowed by Kraken.
PETER
Of course. And then he ripped his belly open and escaped. The same happened with the Red Riding Hood's grandmother. I can imagine dozens of stories like this one.
JESSICA

We need to attack straight away. If they notice us before the moment comes their coast artillery will blow us to tiny pieces!
GIBBS
It would be great if you hinder the coast artillery, sir.
WILL
I'll do my best. But alone we won't last long too. If you are late all our plan will be ruined.
GIBBS
If we arrive before the time, we'll be definitely shot by the coast artillery.
WILL

JAMBA

Jamba stares at all present with scary look. The present nod in consent.

Eight pirates ship drawn up wedge-wise go on full sail. The Flying Dutchman is heading them. The Dutchman starts plunging into the water and on full sail conceals deep in the water.
LOCATION. THE GOLDEN GATES CITY. DAY.
The sight of a very prosperous city on the island. Many roofs are covered with gold. The city is situated on the inner side of a big bay. The bay is protected by giant gates covered with gold as well. On the sides of the Gates there are two bulwark towers armored and equipped with large-caliber guns.
LOCATION. OPEN MARKET INSIDE THE CITY. DAY.
The market consists of golden boutiques. Jewelry are hung everywhere around and just scattered all over. Merchants molest to passers-by, swinging the bunches of necklaces and golden chains as they usually swing the bunch of parsley or coriander. The passers-by, dripping with expensive jewelry, just brush aside annoying merchants.
LOCATION. FORTIFIED WALL, BULWARK BESIDE THE GATES. DAY.
The place where the bulwark joins to the Gates. Opening mechanism. Next to the mechanism there's a small table where carefree guards blissfully rest. At the table there sits a Senior Guard and an Elder Guard. A Young Guard brings the food.
SENIOR GUARD
What have you brought? Don't we have anything else to eat but peaches and grapes? What if your children feed you the same way when you're old? Go and bring something yummy . Take this! Bring it back where you took it.
UNDERWATER SHOOTING. SPACE UNDER THE GATES. DAY.
In the space between the gates and the bottom of the tunnel goes the Flying Dutchman.
LOCATION. FORTIFIED WALL. DAY.
Near the gun there sits half-naked Gunner sunbathing. Senior Gunner approaches him.
SENIOR GUNNER
You are on watch. You must be uniformed.
GUNNER
Don't you tire of speaking in such boiling weather?
From the wall one can see the Flying Dutchman going under the Gates. But the Gunners are busy with their wranglings and don't notice the Dutchman.
SENIOR GUNNER
Such attitude would never give you the promotion.
GUNNER
I don't care about promotion, if only the don't demote me.
SENIOR GUNNER
There's no position to demote you to.
GUNNER
Then it's just perfect.
LOCATION. GULF OF THE BAY. DAY.
The Flying Dutchman emerges from the water, turns, opens its guns and opens fire on the bastion.
LOCATION. FORTIFIED WALL. DAY.
The fortified wall is not prepared for gun shooting from the inside the bay. Gunners and guards are spread before the eyes. From the shell bursts people scatter everywhere. Guards are on the open sights. They run to the sides to escape the shell bursts. They shout, running away!
GUARDS
Blast it! Blast it!
SENIOR GUARD
Where are you running? Stay here! Safe the gates!
Out of the water the sailors of the Flying Dutchman start to appear. The start climbing the wall and Will Turner is with them. They reach the top of the wall to the guns and throw the remaining gunners in the water. Will goes up to the opening mechanism. The Senior Guard tries to protect himself but two sailors press him down to the floor. Will examines the mechanism but can't understand how it works just on-the-spot. He looks inquiringly at the Guard: 'What should I do?' but he averts his eyes from him. Will pulls his sword to his neck. The Senior Guard unwillingly points at the right wheel. The sailors start steering the wheel. Gates mechanism springs. Massive locking bars are opening slowly. One fold of the Gates is opened.
LOCATION. WATERS NEAR THE GOLDEN GATES. DAY.
Squadron o pirates ships on full sails comes closer to the Gates. They see one fold of the Gates opening.
LOCATION. THE QUEEN ANN'S REVENGE. DECK. DAY.
Sailors headed by Jamba see the Gates opening and start triumphing, shaking their swords.
THE BLACK PEARL. DECK. DAY
Sailors headed by Gibbs are triumphing at the sight of the Gates opening. But then headwind starts strengthening. And it's getting stronger at the seams. At first, the pirates just protect their eyes, but the wind gets even stronger and lifts heavy things on the deck – cable ropes lying on the deck. The sailors protect their faces with the hands. The wind is getting stronger and stronger every minute. Waves are rushing on the deck. Sails are getting torn and the ships slowly move backwards from the Gates. The first mast breaks, the waves roll over the board on the deck again and again.
PINTEL
We've had it! We all gonna die!
RAGETTI
We shouldn't have attack the Golden Gates! They are protected by the Genie!
LOCATION. FORTIFIED WALL. DAY.
Will's sailors not paying attention to the strengthening wind, keep opening the Gates. Whistle of a cannonball is heard. A big blow bursts over their heads. Will follows the direction of the shot. He sees that the guards of the second gate turned the guns to their direction and is aiming at them. The wind is getting stronger. One of Will's sailors panics.
WILL'S SAILOR
Captain! Our ships are taken away to the open seas! We're all alone!
Will signs to the boatswain of his ship to concentrate the fire on the second gate bastion and to call the Kraken as well. Boatswain shows signs of understanding. Will addresses to the sailors standing next to the taken guns.
WILL
Turn the guns! Trample the artillery on the other bastion!
THE FLYING DUTCHMAN. DECK. DAY
Sailors are winding the roll, calling for the Kraken.
LOCATION, FORTIFIED WALL. DAY.
Will stands near the fortress guns. They are already turned into the right direction. A sailor is trying to aim, but finds it hardly possible.
SAILOR AIMING THE GUN
It's impossible to aim with such strong wind!
WILL
Load it!
The sailors load the gun tube with a big cannonball with a burning. Will aims thoroughly taking into account the strong wind. He waves his hands. The sailor lights the fuse. A gunshot bangs. The cannonball bursts in the bastion just where the guns are situated. Will's sailors are triumphing.
THE BLACK PEARL. DECK. DAY
The pirates are hardly holding not to be blown away from the deck. Somebody is washed away by the wave. Someone grasps tacking in the last moment. Sails are almost torn out. Then the Kraken's tentacles emerge from the water and crawl on the deck. The pirates are frightened, but the Kraken finds a mooring rope pulls it into the water and starts pulling the ship towards the gates.
LOCATION. QUEEN ANN'S REVENGE. DECK. DAY.
The Kraken's tentacles find the mooring line and starts pulling the ship towards the Gates. The pirates understand, that the Kraken gathered the pirate ships and tows them towards the Gates.
LOCATION. GATES OF THE BAY. DAY.
Through the open gate the pirate ships enter the bay, opening fire on the run to the bastion guns. The wind drops.
THE BLACK PEARL. DECK. DAY
The ship goes through the gates. The pirates shoot from the guns to the bastion which fires to the ships.
LOCATION. TEAGUE'S SHIP. CAPTAIN'S BRIDGE. DAY.
Teague, Jack Sparrow, Peter and Chief mate stand on the captain's bridge. From the distance they see that the gates are open and pirate ships are entering the bay.
JACK
We're just in time.
LOCATION. THE GOLDEN GATES ISLAND. BAY DOCKS. DAY.
The pirates ships moor to the moorage. The pirates disembark and hurry to the townm shaking their weapons.
LOCATION. TEAGUE'S SHIP. DECK. DAY.
Teague and the rest of the team stand on the deck. Their ship goes through the Gate and enters the Bay.
LOCATION. THE GOLDEN GATES. THE STREETS. DAY.
Robbery is going nip and tuck inside the town. Defenders offer resistance bu they are soon scattered away. The pirates put on bunches of golden chains and jewelry.
LOCATION. HE GOLDEN GATES ISLAND. BAY DOCKS. DAY.
Teague's ship moors to the moorage. The crew hurries to the town. Jack Sparrow and Peter are among them. Teague bend over the handrail and looks at the leaving crew.
LOCATION. THE GOLDEN GATES. THE STREETS. DAY.
Jack walks down the streets. He passes round the fighting. The pirates are fighting not only with the defenders but with each other to get the piece of cloth they fancy. One of the guards approaches Jack. Jack turns sharply a hand cart standing nearby. The handle hits the attacking man in the face. The attacking man falls down. Jack enters a house. Inside the house women in fear offer Jack their jewelry. Jack goes past them to the kitchen. He tastes something looking like cheese. He spits.
JACK
What's this? Cheese? Do they know what real cheese is?
Jack goes outside. Takes a look around. Takes out his compass and identifies the course. He takes out the spyglass. He looks in the direction pointed by the compass. He sees a smoke coming out from the highest tower in the palace. He asks himself.
JACK
Would anyone fire a furnace in such heat? It should be a galley.
Jack is heading to the palace in prompt steps.
LOCATION. PALACE WALL. DAY.
Jack comes closer to the palace wall. He sees a rope hanging from the top and starts climbing the wall with dexterity jumping from one windowsill to another.
INTERIOR. RAJAH'S HAREM. DAY.
Jamba and his two assistants search the harem. Women are screaming, covering their bodies and trying to hide. Jamba and his assistants pay no attention to them. They search every nook and look under their kerchiefs.
JAMBA
He's not here.
LOCATION. THE GOLDEN GATES. THE STREETS. DAY.
On the street Teague's pirates and city defenders fight. Peter is among the pirates and he's fighting bravely. The pirates win. One of the pirates sees a girl who ran inside a house door. He runs to get her. Catches her up and tears off her clothes. Peter comes up.
PETER
Leave her.
PIRATE
She's my loot.
PETER
Leave the girl. We're here not for this!
He puts his sword to the pirate's neck. The pirate leaves the girl and runs away, saying maliciously.
PIRATE
Freaky family.
INTERIOR. PALACE CORRIDOR. DAY.
Jack walks along the corridor. He sniffs and follows the smell. He goes past an open door. A guard appears in the doorway, he shouts something and unsheathes his sword. Jack pushes the door abruptly and pinches the guard's hand in the door. The guard releases the sword. Jack goes further.
INTERIOR. SPACIOUS CHAMBER. DAY.
Jack enters a spacious chamber. Along the walls there stand tableful of all possible food. In the middle, just near an armchair, looking like throne he sees a head of Dutch cheese. Jack approaches the cheese. From under the table appears a head of a person in a rich turban.
JACK
Just dare touching the cheese. Just dare touching it! I'll tear off your hands!
Jack jumps at he table. The man bows in fear, covering his head with his hands. All his fingers are decorated with rings. The man takes off the biggest signet-ring and stretches his hand to Jack. Jack takes the ring. He examines it nonchalantly and automatically puts it on the finger. He takes the head of cheese. The man crawls away pushes a button on the wall. In the wall a concealed trapdoor opens. The man creeps into the trapdoor. Jack smells the cheese. Then he hugs it. He looks to the sides as if thinking of where to go. He says to himself.
JACK
Nope.
Comes to the window and looks out of it.
JACK
Yeah.
INTERIOR. THE SAME CHAMBER IN A WHILE. DAY.
Jamba and his assistants enter the chamber and search it. They find no one.
LOCATION. PALACE ROOF. DAY.
Jack is sitting on the ledge of the window. He has a plate, a knife, a fork and the head of cheese. Jack cuts small pieces and, savoring, puts into his mouth. Trough the window one can see Jamba with his assistants searching the chamber.
JAMBA
He's not here too.
LOCATION. THE GOLDEN GATES BAY. DOCKS. DAY.
Town robbery comes to an end. Jamba, Will and Gibbs and other chief mates are on the deck near pirate ships.
JAMBA
Bring all the gold to the docks and load the merchant vessels.
Teague appears.
GIBBS
You are here, too, captain Teague?
TEAGUE
Yes, I was accidentally sailing past. And you, as far as I see, the captain of the Black Pearl?
GIBBS
Just for a while. While Jack is away. I know where he is. And I swear as soon as it all ends I'll go to his rescue.
Teague nods and goes towards his ship..
LOCATION. TEAGUE'S SHIP. DECK. DAY.
Teague ascends the deck. Jack Sparrow reclines there. Cheese remains are near him. Jack holds his belly. He has overeaten.
TEAGUE
Who's that Jamba, who commands everyone?
JACK
Lord Beckett's servant.
TEAGUE
It would be better if no one sees you for a while.
JACK
But I'm going to the Black Pearl.
TEAGUE
What for?
JACK
Discuss something with my crew.
TEAGUE
Until they divide the gold, the crew won't be very willing to discuss anything.
JACK
I want to take a look at the Pearl. With one eye.
TEAGUE
Well, let me think. Hide now for a while.
JACK
Then I'll rest a bit in the cabin.

Teague turns away and leaves.

Peter, Will and Bill Turner meet on the deck. A father hugs the son, Bill hugs both. Jessica stands nearby.

Bootstrap observes the town.

The rest pirates sip from the bottles too and spill some rum in the water.
PIRATES

PETER
(standing near the companionway, asks surprisingly)
Do you feel pity for the Kraken? He sent to the bottom so many ships! He is able to send you to the bottom any moment!
PINTEL
No one can know his own fate. Who are we going to become at the end? And he's just one of us.
RAGETTI
Maybe some port tarts are still alive who remember him?
PINTEL

PETER

PINTEL

Cluster of pirates are listening to the Old Pirate on the deck. The put on oriental robes, some of them wearing turbans. They have heaps of precious chains on the necks, all fingers have signet-rings. Some of them are wearing feminine oriental earrings. There's a hookah on the table. They crack nuts with a golden cup. Jack is wandering on the deck, comes closer to the cluster of pirates.
OLD PIRATE
Genie has been protecting the Gates all these years. Rajah could rest, no one even dared to approach his possessions. But the Kraken turned to be stronger than the Genie.
LISTENER
Where does he live, that Genie? I heard genies live in rum bottles.
SECOND LISTENER
Not the bottles, in pitchers.
LISTENER
Where in the world have you seen rum being kept in pitchers?
OLD PIRATE
Genies can live wherever. That Genie lived in a gem. And that gem was mounted in a signet-ring. Rajah never took it off, even bathing.
LISTENER
Then Calypso appears to be more mighty than any genie, as far as he couldn't have prevented opening the Golden Gates?
OLD PIRATE
Of course, who can be more mighty than Calypso?
Jack looks at the signet-ring, given to him by that odd man in the palace. He starts understanding something. He steps aside. He examines the signet-ring furtively. He puts his eye to the gem of the signet-ring and sees Genie inside. Genie sits with his back forward at the small coffee-table drinking tea. Jack carefully knocks with his nail in the gem. Genie pays no attention and continues drinking his tea. Jack shakes intensively his hand with the ring and hits the gem at the board handholds. He looks at the gem again. Genie is shaking off his robe on the hips. While Jack was shaking his hand, the tea spilled on Genie's robe. Genie turns round with angry look and comes closer to Jack's eye. Jack instinctively jerks back from the gem. Jack is a little scared. He approaches the group of pirates again.
LISTENER
How did the Rajah controlled the Genie? A pitcher, for example needed to be rubbed.
OLD PIRATE
Nobody knows. Rajah would never reveal this secret.
LISTENER
Even on pain of death?
OLD PIRATE
Well, on pain of death, anyone would become more talkative.
Jack turns the signet-ring so that the gem is hidden in his palm and doubles his hand in a fist.

On the atoll there is going on a festive celebration organized by lord Beckett. Tables aare set for each clan of pirates. The tables collapse under the weight of the food. On the tables fireworks sets are prepared. Lord Beckett himself goes from table to table lights the fireworks on the tables. He comes to every table, raises he glass.
BECKETT
You are true heroes! True gentlemen of fortune. You managed to do the thing that was beyond the powers of any state, any empire. Drink, my children. For this day will become a legend in the annals of the history. It's the most remarkable day since the moment the first ship was constructed! Yours children will tell you grandchildren the legend and your grandchildren will feel proud of you! Henceforth your names went down to the history written with golden letters!
PIRATES
(in response)
Very likely that with golden, sir! The gold is enough now for all the letters in this world!
DRUNK PIRATE
As far as I remember the first ship was called Noah's Ark?
BECKETT
Let it be! Your health, my strong, almighty fellows!
Beckett takes a sip from his glass. Puts it on the table.
PIRATES
Ohhh, that won't do. You ought to drink bottoms up!
BECKETT
Beg your pardon, gentlemen. But I wish to congratulate all of you in person tonight, If I get drunk right now, my wish won't be fulfilled!
PIRATES
Then for lord Beckett's health!
Pirates raise their glasses. Beckett takes another sip from his cup. Then he signs that he apologizes and goes further.
INTERIOR. SPACIOUS KITCHEN ON THE ATOLL. NIGHT.
Beckett enters the kitchen. Jamba makes arrangements there. Sailors from the military frigates chop meat and pour rum from barrel to bottles.
BECKETT
(to Jamba)
Pour soporific in rum. No one will taste anything already.
Jamba signs to a cooking sailor. He takes out a small bag with soporific out from the lock. He pours soporific to the barrels with rum.
BECKETT
And finally, the major triumph of tonight. Lead your people away.
(to the cooks)
In an hour we set off to the frigates. Nobody must be late!
LOCATION. THE ATOLL BAY. SEASHORE. NIGHT.
On the shore there is a spacious marquee. Inside the marquee one can see lit candles and tablefuls. Near the marquee there stands the Flying Dutchman's crew. Peter and Jessica are among them. Will Turner stands in the water nearby. Beckett appears. He leads Elizabeth by the hand. Jamba and four assistants acconpany him.
BECKETT
I beg your pardon for being late, bu I had to make the round...
Jamba and the assistants light the fireworks near the marquee. Elizabeth endeavors to approach Will, but Beckett holds her hand.
BECKETT
No, no, my Queen. First, you must congratulate the crew. Otherwise you will reunite with your husband and the celebration will come to nothing. Pardon me, Will. Just a moment of patience. Go inside, please. The Queen must raise her glass.
Beckett together with Elizabeth enter the marquee first. The whole dutchman's crew joyfully follows them. Will is standing in the water alone near the shore. The marquee entrance is suddenly shut by a metal grid. Beckett and Elizabeth come out of the marquee from the other side. The sound of another grid closing is heard. Beckett holds a pistol to Elizabeth's head.
BECKETT
(to Will)
Drop your guns to the shore! Hurry up!
Will takes out his guns and throws them to the shore. Jamba's assistant drag off the tent and one can see that it was camouflaging a huge cage, where the whole Dutchman's crew are locked at the moment. The grids are under locks and keys. Jamba has the keys. He and his assistants keep the crew covered.
BECKETT
What, Will? It's high time to repay the debt? I hope you haven't forgot how you fired my father's ship point-blank? I can not hear you.
WILL
That was a naval battle.
BECKETT
So what? You walk, smile, sleep with your wife and my father is putrefying somewhere in the offing. You feel right because you murdered him in the battle. You're wrong. I won't let you enjoy your life with impunity. I would feel much pleasure killing you. And that would be right, but you must understand, I just have no way to do this. You are immortal and it's not my fault! That's why Elizabeth will pay her life for you. That will be fair!
Beckett puts a gun again Elizabeth' head and is ready to fire. Somewhere from the cage the voice of Bill Turner is heard.
BOOTSTRAP
Sir, you wish to take vengeance for your father's death?
BECKETT
What?
BOOTSTRAP
You wish to take vengeance for your father. It will be improperly if you kill a woman. They will take you wrong in your circles. If you revenge for your father, then revenge for the father.
BECKETT

Beckett shoots Bootstrap in the heart. Bill falls. Beckett takes his pulse, rises Bootstrap's hand. Drops it and it falls lifeless. He turns to Will.

Points Jamba to Jessica.
BECKETT
I take her with me.
Jamba opens the grid, disperse the pirates and grasps Jessica's hand. He takes her out. Beckett, Jessica and the assistants make their way towards the festive camp. Beckett flings to Will, leaving.

If you want to set them free, step to the shore and release them.
The fireworks die out. It gets dark. Bangs of fireworks and crackers are heard at a distance.
LOCATION. ENTRANCE OF THE ATOLL'S BAY. NIGHT.
British Navy sailors load the boats. Beckett gives final guidance to lieutenant Bricks.
BECKETT
I leave for England with the gold. You cover my retreat. Head Santa-Cruze island. та-Крус. The pirates will give chase this route, I strongly believe. Not a single pirate ship must chase the convoy. You got me, Bricks?
BRICKS
I'm ready to give my life for the Crown.
BECKETT
I will give a report about your valour to His Majesty in person. Now it all depends on you. The destiny of our Empire's gold falls into your hands.
BRICKS
We will carry out your order, sir, if it's the last thing we do!
BECKETT
When the convoy reaches the British coasts, you can consider yourself a captain.

The crew of the Flying Dutchman is sitting in the cage. The sun is in the zenith. The heat is exhausting them. Those sailors whose gills have appeared already, heave avidly. Will is still in the water near the shore. He is trying to make himself heard by the pirates, but they a re still sleeping.
WILL
Wake up, anyone! Hey! Wake up, God damn you!
Will washes his face with the sea water. He wants to splash the cage with the water but it's way too far.
LOCATION. THE PLACE OF NIGHT CELEBRATION ON THE ATOLL. DAY.
The sun is in the zenith. Chevalle is sleeping on the table wrapped in a table clothing. Beside the table sleeping pirates wallow in a jumble with cups, dishes, bottles and food remains. Chevalle wakes up with an effort. His head is bursting. He sits and tries to disentangle himself from the table cloth. He opens his eyes.
CHEVALLE
Why the sun is so high? And why I was bunked on the table?
(notices the sailors lying around)
What the hell going on here?
Sumbhajee appears.
SUMBHAJEE
Chevalle, do you have everyone sleeping too. I can't wake anyone. What sort of devilry is this?
Chevalle looks at the ocean.
CHEVALLE
Where are the ships with the gold?
SUMBHAJEE
What? The ships with gold?
(turns around, looks at the ocean)
I see nothing.
CHEVALLE
Sumbhajee, the ships have disappeared!
SUMBHAJEE

Chevalle jumps on the table, looks around.

And no British frigates as well!

Sleeping sailors wake up one by one. One sailor, holding his head carefully, tales half-full bottle of rum and sips. And spits at once.
SAILOR WITH THE BOTTLE
There's some sediment in there!
The rest of the sailors start stretching their hands to rum bottles. Chevalle takes one of the half-finished bottles and tastes. He tastes a drop. Then spits.
CHEVALLE
There's something poured in the rum! No one drinks rum! Throw the bottles away!
He starts to kick the bottles out of sailors' hands.
AMMAND
Shit, Barbossa ship and the Black Pearl are missing too!
CHEVALLE
That's because Barbossa is British too!
MISTRESS CHING
I have been saying, the British can't be trusted!
AMMAND
Barbossa played the same game with Beckett from the very beginning!
SUMBHAJEE
What are we waiting for? Get them!
AMMAND
I personally chop off Barbossa's and Beckett's damned heads!
Chevalle climbs the table again and takes a look around.
CHEVALLE
Look, they locked the crew of the Flying Dutchman in the cage. We need to set them free.
MISTRESS CHING
Wait! If we set Turner free, he won't forgive us what we have done to Queen Elizabeth. He will sink our ships. He needs no gold, you remember? He's much more interested in sailors' souls. He's British moreover. Can't we handle Barbossa and two military frigates by ourselves?
AMMAND
We'll chop them to smithereens! I'll take out Barbossa's heart! Go ahead!

The crew of the Flying Dutchman sees from the inside the cage pirate ships setting sails. Will stands in the water and looks at Elizabeth. Elizabeth from the cage looks at Will.
LOCATION. THE OFFING. DAY.
Six pirate ships at full sail chase the runaways.
INTERIOR. QUUEN ANN'S REVENGE. CABIN. DAY.
Beckett wakes up. Gets up. He's wearing a nightcap, he gets dressed in a robe. Approaches the window and opens it. Takes a deep breathe of fresh air. Stretches himself. He looks with a satisfied look at the sandy beach of the lagoon. On the shore monkeys jump on the palms. Beckett smiles at their tricks. A charming tropical bird sits at the windowsill. Beckett wants to play with it but it flies away. Beckett leans out of the window. He sees how tiny fishes gambol in shallow water. Beckett takes a slice of bread from the table. He snaps off tiny beats throws them to fish. Having got tired with his game, he approaches the door, opens it and shouts.
BECKETT
Get Jamba.
Jamba appears holding a box in his hands.
BECKETT
All those fussy events didn't allow us to have a talk in a proper way. Can I take a look on what you've brought?
JAMBA
Yes, sir.
BECKETT
Then bring it to me.
JAMBA
It's right here, sir.
BECKETT

Jamba opens the lid of the box. The box is full of salt. Disgusting odor could be smelled. Becket takes a handkerchief, covers his face and nose, but keeps looking inside the box. Jamba stirs the salt with a wooden stick. Cut off hands become visible, each finger is decorated with signet-rings.
BECKETT

The ship hides in the hideous lagoon by some desert island. The Black Pearl and ten ships with gold are moored nearby. Beckett walks out to the deck. He's dressed up as usual, but his fingers are dripping with signet-rings. He's in high spirits. Barbossa notices him.
BARBOSSA
Well, I suppose the main reason for attacking the Golden Gates was not the gold.
BECKETT
You are so intelligent Barbossa, that it starts driving me mad.
BARBOSSA
And which one is the Rajah's ring?
Beckett stretches his hands forward.
BECKETT
One of these.
BARBOSSA
It seems like one is missing?
BECKETT
Drop it. Rajah had them put on just this way.
BARBOSSA

Will's sailors, exhausted by heat, lie on the ground in the cage hardly moving. They are half-dead as they spent too much time out of water. Will is sitting on the water edge and he's keeping splashing the water with his palms, trying to call for the Kraken. The wave coasts in though there's not even the slightest wind, warning of some giant body approaching underwater. Will stops splashing and looks hopefully inside the waters. Enormous Kraken's tentacles crawl slowly from the water to the shore, catch lattice rods and draw them apart. Then the tentacles hide in the water again. The pirates on all fours, on hands and knees crawl to the water and revive. Elizabeth is the last to go out of the cage. She steps in the water and comes closer to Will. They hug one another and stand like that for a long time.
WILL
The day I had been waiting for ten years, passed. They've stolen that day.
ELIZABETH
It doesn't matter. We'll have another day. I'll wait. Sailors wives are used to wait for their husbands. Such is the fate.
Peter comes to them. He embraces his parents.

A wonderful sunny day. In the shade of palms there is a table. At the table Beckett and Barbossa sit in wickers chairs. On the table there are golden cups, exotic fruit on golden plates. Nearby people in white aprons are preparing meat and poultry dishes in the improvised kitchen. Jamba rules the process. From the other side several natives sing a plaintive song accompanying themselves with primitive musical instruments. Beckett waves sluggishly with his hand. A man in a white apron pours a drink in his cup.
BECKETT
To start we need to officially settle down somewhere. It's better be some land. That's how we can forget about the Flying Dutchman's existence. But what's more important. Land is always disputed territory. And disputed territories are something that require a firm hand and some amount of money. I've been thinking of this problem. We need to back one of the fighting parties but the way they won't leave their troops back to us. We need only our own troops, Let the territory be little to start. It's not a great deal. The most important is to settle down.

The frigates open fire. The pirates’ ships immediately return fire. The pirates’ ships surround the frigates. Boarding starts. The pirates jump to the frigates annihilating military seamen.

Bricks lies on the bridge wounded. Chevalle and Ammand walk up the bridge.
AMMAND

Bricks dies. Ammand calls loudly upon pirates to resume the pursuit.

But the pirates disperse on frigates and they take everything that is possible. Somewhere pirates from different ships pick a quarrel because of the property.

This officer is right. We lost the pursuit. While our sailors don’t ransack everything that can be plundered they won’t budge. They are not military seamen after all.
INTERIOR. CABIN ON THE SHIP QUEEN ANN’S REVENGE. DAY.
Beckett is in the cabin. Barbossa enters.
BARBOSSA

BECKETT

Beckett and Barbossa stand on the deck. A ship’s boat pull in to the vessel. A sailor shouts from the boat.
THE SAILOR FROM THE BOAT.
We’ve found a witch. But she lives on the mainland.
Beckett and Barbossa look at each other.

The room’s interior is in Indian-Spanish style. There is a heap of all sorts of masks, Catholic crosses, ritual objects. The witch sits at the table in the room. In front of her there are Beckett and Barbossa. The witch behaves like an extraterrestrial being.
BARBOSSA
Madam, this gentleman has signet-rings on his hands. One of these rings is magic. Could you show us which one is it?
The witch takes Beckett’s hand and examines signet-rings. Then she examines the other hand. She begins to move some feathers, to speak incomprehensible language. At the same time she kindles herbs in the thurible situated in front of the visitors. A smoke appears from the thurible. The witch herself stands up, moves her hands like she dances. Then she comes to the small window on the street which is her head-high and put her head outside it. She makes a deep breath. She seems to have held her breath while kindling the thurible. Beckett and Barbossa sit in front of the thurible. There is already much enough smoke.
BECKETT
The smoke is pleasant.
BARBOSSA
It seems like I’ve already smelled it somewhere.
BECKETT
And the atmosphere is not bad, rather favorable.
BARBOSSA
And the witch is not so old.
BECKETT

JAMBA

BECKETT

Jamba understands that Beckett and Barbossa are out of their mind. He cautiously picks the signet-rings, puts them in his pocket. He takes by the arm Beckett and Barbossa, leads them towards the exit.

A young watch keeper stands his duty on the mast. He is staring attentively into the distance. He is a new member of Teague’s board. Suddenly he notices the Flying Dutchman in the bright light of flashlights. The watch keeper screws up his eyes, whispers a prayer under his breath. Opens his eyes again. Flying Dutchman is already unnaturally close. The watch keeper can see several seamen of terrifying appearance on the deck of the Dutchman. The watch keeper is screaming, frightened. Simultaneously he goes down the mast, almost falling, keeping on screaming from fear. Second in command officer Teague approaches him.

Are you looking for a ring with djinn?
Beckett’s face expression changes. The wizard puts out his hand towards Beckett’s rings. He brings Beckett’s hand right to his own face and starts looking with one eye inside each stone. Beckett winces squeamishly. Then the wizard observes the stones in the rings on Beckett’s other hand just the same way. After investigation he loses interest and freezes as if in a deep trance.
JAMBA
My dear man, wake up please. What about the ring?
The wizard opens his eyes.
WIZARD
There is no djinn in them.
BECKETT
What?
JAMBA
He said, there is no djinn there.
BECKETT
Does it mean that you took these rings not from Rajah?
JAMBA
From Rajah, no doubt. And from nobody else.
BECKETT
Why is he telling me there is no djinn there, then?.
JAMBA
(to the wizard)
My dear man, is there no джина at all, are you sure of this?
The wizard keeps sitting frozen in trance, without paying any attention to Jamba.
BARBOSSA
I told you, there is one more ring left.
JAMBA
I brought you everything that was there.
BECKETT
Even I paid attention. There definitely was not one more ring. Where are we supposed to look for it now?
JAMBA
(to the wizard)
My dear man, can’t you incidentally tell us, where the ring with a djinn is currently?
The wizard opens his eyes and starts to mutter something. Then he takes the bones and throws them onto the table. There are three bones there, and two on the sides come to a standstill vertically, while the third lays horizontally, as if connecting the two together.
WIZARD
(pointing at Beckett and Barbossa)
Both of you have born malice to this person.
BECKETT
Turner?
BARBOSSA
I don’t care a damn about Turner. I haven’t born anything to him.
BECKETT
Bill Turner. then.
BARBOSSA
I care even less about Bill. Furthermore, he is dead.
BECKETT
So he appears to be… Jack Sparrow?
BARBOSSA
As if that was not enough!
LOCATION. MOUNTAINS, CAVE ENTRANCE. DAY.
Beckett, Barbossa and Jamba have come out of the wizard’s cave and are standing in front of the entrance into it.
JAMBA
It seems to me, I hear there was a monk at the Golden Gates at the time we stayed there. And his boots were just the same as Jack Sparrow’s ones.
BECKETT
So what? What if there was some monk hanging around there? How can it help us right now?
JAMBA
That’s what I thought, and decided not to tell you about it, sir.
BECKETT
That’s strange, actually. A bit too hot for a monk to wear boots round there.
BARBOSSA
So… I did not quite catch! Where was that monk hanging around?
JAMBA
On the Black Pearl.
BECKETT
A monk wearing Jack Sparrow’s-like boots hanging around the Black Pearl?..
JAMBA
People say. That’s really some nonsense.
BECKETT

BARBOSSA

That’s it. The Indian monks wear neither robes, nor boots. But this one was clothed in both. That’s why nobody saw his face. And that’s why our blunt seamen decided him to be a monk.
BARBOSSA

BECKETT
It looks like that man was Jack Sparrow. Why didn’t’t you tell us at once, Jamba?
JAMBA
But you yourself told me right now, that it was a nonsense!
BECKETT

Jamba leaves.
BECKETT
(to Barbosssa)
If you have carried Jack to that island, how could he appear at the Golden Gates?
BARBOSSA
No way, sir.
Beckett is walking back and forth nervously. He’s twisting his fingers.
BECKETT
What if we suppose that it really was Jack Sparrow, where can he be now?
BARBOSSA
As soon as he is exactly not on the Black Pearl, he can be only on Tortuga
BECKETT
Any other places?
BARBOSSA
He is not in any other place, otherwise we would have got to know about him.
BECKETT
Why would we so surely have learnt about it?
BARBOSSA
In any other place than Tortuga he would have already been noosed and they would have informed the whole world about it.
BECKETT
Then we could try to declare an award for his recapture on Tortuga.
BARBOSSA

BECKETT
Ten thousand pounds.
BARBOSSA
Nobody will believe in a sum like this.
BECKETT
Two hundred pounds, then.
BARBOSSA
They will find him in an hour for two hundred pounds!

Jamba comes.
BECKETT

BARBOSSA
Take the Black Pearl. It is more swift-sailing than the Flying Dutchman.
INTERIOR. TAVERN ON TORTUGUE. DAY.
Jack is sitting at the table in a tavern. There are quite many people at other tables. Jack peeps into the stone of his finger-ring. Djinn appears to have arranged a curtain inside. As soon as he feels Jack is watching him, the djinn draws the curtain immediately. Jack lowers his hand in frustration. Two soldiers in French uniform enter the tavern and unfold the paper with Jack’s portrait painted on it. Under the portrait there is a remark: 200 pounds. The soldiers survey all the visitors’ faces and stop at Jack’s. They come up to his table.
THE FIRST SOLDIER
(smiling)
Jack Sparrow?
JACK
Captain Jack Sparrow.
THE SECOND SOLDIER
Very good.
VOINCES INSIDE THE TAVERN
Is Jack Sparrow here? Is this the very same Jack Sparrow?
THE FIRST SOLDIER
Well, Jack Sparrow.
Jack puts on the hat and the belt, turning sideway looks at the sides. He sees that the crowd is starting to haul up at his table. Several pirates with horrifying faces have taken out their knifes and are coming to the soldiers. One of them is appealing to the soldiers.
PIRATE WITH A KNIFE
It’s time for you to leave, guys.
The soldiers see that they are embosomed with people with knives. They start to retreat toward entrance. One of the pirates stamps his foot, the soldiers shudder and break into a run. Exclamations of approval sound happily, Jack is glad to be rescued.
JACK
Thank you, my friends!
The pirates turn to Jack and start to approach himself.
PIRATE WITH A KNIFE
That’s you, pal, who’s given two hundred pounds for?
Jack realizes that the pirates forced the soldiers back only because he is their prey and they are going to catch him.
JACK
There were times when my head was three hundred pounds worth!
The crowd screws their courage...
JACK
Than two hundred.
(pause)
And then – one.
The crowd is astonished.
JACK
Nowadays they don’t give a damn for my head.
The crowd is frozen. Jack looks around quickly, searching for the way to escape. Jack points at the entrance door.
JACK
Though his head costs two hundred pounds.
The crowd turns toward the door, where there is nobody, and, after a moment of thinking they turn back, but Jack is not on the place either. A slight noise is heard from above. The crowd looks u – Jack has almost reaches the door moving from one ceiling beams to another. The crowd starts out a roar, but Jack jumps from the beams and bounces out of the door. The people start swarming into a narrow door , but those behind press so hard, that the first can not squeeze through the door.
LOCATION. STREET IN FRON TOF TAVERN’S DOOR. DAY.
The pirates stuck in the door are bellowing. Jack sets his hat straight and starts away. The pirates squeeze finally into the door and run after Jack, who break into running as well.
CROWD’S SCREAMS
This is Jack Sparrow!
People in the street turn and join the followers.
LOCATION. HIGH OCEAN SHORE. DAY.
Jack IS FLEETING FROM THE SROWD. He reaches a high steep, turns round: a great throng is chasing him. Jack knocks at the stone in Rajah’s ring.
JACK
Come on, help me!
Jack turns back. He sees the Black Pearl standing not far from the shore. Jack whoops for joy and jumps into the ocean.
LOCATION. OCEAN’S SURCAFE, THE BLACK PEARL BOARD. DAY.
Jack emerges from the water. He grasps at the hemp and rises to the board of the Black Pearl. A gloomy throng is watching him from the shore, and he looks at Rajah’s ring, kissing it gratefully.
JACK
Thank you, my friend!
Jack continues to move up the hemp to the board.
THE BLACK PEARL. DECK. DAY
At first one Jack’s hand grasps the railings, then the other. Jack’s head appears. Two Jamba’s assistants grip his clothes, lift him easily over the railings and put onto the deck. In front of him there is Jamba, slouching in an armchair. The assistants take Jack’s weapons from his belt, pull Rajah’s ring from his finger. They pass the ring to Jamba. The Black Pearl team is standing in a distance. Gibbs is next to the mast.
JAMBA
Well, well! Jack Sparrow in his own person?
JACK
Captain Jack Sparrow.
JAMBA
Captain of what?
JACK
Of this very ship.
JAMBA
I hope you won’t mind managing the ship from your personal cage?
(pause)
How did you manage after all to escape from the island?
GIBBS
He usually ties several marine turtles together…
JAMBA
Marine turtles had better keep a still tongue in their head.
(to his assistants)
Follow the captain to his captain cage.
Jamba casts a dagger without standing up. The dagger sticks into the mast next to Gibbs’ ear.
JAMBA
Or maybe you wish to talk to your captain, Mr. Gibbs?
Gibbs keeps frightened silence.
JAMBA
Maybe someone else is willing to communicate with the captain?
(everybody keep silence)
Good. In case anybody fancies to have a word with captain during this sailing, he will surely learn how fragile his bones really are. We shall guard Jack ourselves. Forward, Gibbs, we are putting off!
LOCATION. THE OFFING. DAY.
Black Pearl is dashing through the waves.
THE BLACK PEARL. CAPTAIN'S BRIDGE. DAY.
There is Gibbs, Jamba and steerer on the command bridge. Gibbs is next to the steerer, looking forward. Jamba is sitting, slouching in an armchair. The Black Pearl as if stumbles upon a shallow. Everybody hurtles forward mechanically and falls down. The armchair fells upon Jamba. The seamen on the deck are also falling.
JAMBA
Devil! We’ve caught a shallow!
GIBBS
But there is no shallow!
JAMBA
You've run smack into a shallow and you even try to deny it, you, blasted dimwit?
GIBBS
I tell you one more time, there is no shallow here.
Jamba grasps a dagger and puts it to the throat of Gibbs.
JAMBA
So you did that on purpose? Wanted to play a joke at me? I shall hang you on your own intestines!
The feels a strong jolt.
JAMBA
What is this?
GIBBS
That’s not a shallow, definitely.
Jamba lets Gibbs go, ruches to the railings and bends over the board. He stares attentively at the water. The Flying Dutchman appears from waters right next to the Black Pearl.
GIBBS
Well, now I see. We stamped into Kraken. To be exact, he stamped into us.
Jamba seizes a great sward and dashes onto the deck.
THE BLACK PEARL. DECK. DAY
Jamba is standing on the deck with a sword in his hand. The seamen are gathering around him.
JAMBA
To arms! Action stations! Get ready for the fight!
Gibbs is getting down the command bridge, following Jamba.
GIBBS
Only one person on this ship can give commands, and this person is definitely not you, Jamba.
JAMBA
Who is giving commands here, then? Are you a captain here, Gibbs?
GIBBS
No, it’s not me. Here is another captain. Forgot, didn’t you? You yourself encaged him.
Jamba wants to make a dash to Gibbs and hit him with a sward, but the seamen with knifes block his way. They can see as tentacle of Kraken appears from the water between two ships. Everybody freezes and stares at it. The tentacle enlaces Will and transfers him onto The Pearl’s deck. Will stands right opposite Jamba.
WILL
You, wretched bastard, decided that we would never meet again?
JAMBA
I don’t care if we meet or not.
WILL
You are too brave, getting smart like that, don’t you?
JAMBA
Yes, I’m not afraid of anybody. If you have come not on Lord Beckett’s accord, than hoist sail.
WILL
That’s exactly what I need – someone to show me the way to Lord Beckett.
JAMBA
You won’t find him even if you are thrice a sea devil.
WILL
Aren’t you afraid of death? Aren’t you afraid of Will Turner’s secret either?
JAMBA
I will easily push you into your secret myself!
Jamba pierces Will through with his sword near his heart and sees, that it hasn’t hurt Will. Jamba falls down on the deck in horror and amazement. Will is standing with a sword sticking out of him. Han he bends over Jamba.
WILL
Well… You chose your destiny yourself. In Turner’s secret even the seamen are hard through it, and you are just a servant of a shore loafer.
Behind Jamba there is a noise. Jamba turns round. Over the board Kraken has already opened his horrible jaws to swallow Jamba. Jamba cries in horror and covers his face with his hand. He is drawn into Kraken’s chaps. Kraken lowers under the board. Gibbs approaches Will. Takes Jamba’s sword out of him subserviently.
GIBBS
Good afternoon, sir. Isn’t it a wonderful weather today?
WILL
Is Jack here?
GIBBS
Yes, I’ve just sent for him. Do you need your waistcoat mended?
WILL
Later.
GIBBS
As you wish, sir.
Jack Sparrow appears on the deck.
JACK
Will, my friend, you have even no idea of how timely you are here.
WILL
Hello, Jack.
JACK
Where is Jamba? I have so much to tell him.
(looking around at the seamen’s faces)
Oh. I see. I undertook such a procedure too, once. Kraken is a good guy, no doubt, but the smell of his mouth… How did you find me, Will?
WILL
We thought, since you have a ring, Beckett is sure to be willing to get it.
JACK
You knew about the ring? And – who are “we”, after all?
WILL
It doesn’t matter. We didn’t know about the ring, I tell you, we just thought.
JACK
So you decided to make a honeypot of me?
WILL
We just wanted to find Beckett.
JACK
You made a honeypot of me.
WILL
Is this your gratitude for my saving you from Jamba?
JACK
Does it mean I’m only a honeypot for you?
WILL
I have almost returned the Black Pearl to you.
JACK
What do you mean by “almost”? I’m standing on the Black Pearl, and it stands for my returning it.
WILL
I need Beckett, Jack.
JACK
I’m grateful that you saved me. But you have your own wrangles with Beckett, so do it without me further on.
WILL
He killed my father.
JACK
Sorrry, Will, we are putting off. Gibbs, what were you telling about cook position?
WILL
I never thought, Jack, that I would have to deal with you this way.
JACK
Deal with me? Haven’t we discussed everything?
WILL
We haven’t discussed anything. We haven’t decided anything, and it menas, that you are still a honeypot.
Kraken’s tentacle creeps onto the deck, enlaced Jack and raises it over the deck.
WILL
I will bring you back to Tortuga, where you’ll be sold for two thousand pounds to Beckett. Do not look around. The Pearl takes no part in it… Kraken will carry you.
JACK
But I have a compass which can help us find Beckett.
WILL
Gibbs, do you know where Beckett is know?
GIBBS
Well… sure. He sent me with Jamba.
WILL

Tentacles of Kraken put Jack of the deck, entangle and creep away overboard. Jack is beaming with amiability.
INTERIOR. CAPTAIN’S DECK ON THE BLACK PEARL. DAY.
Jack, Will and Gibbs are dining at the table. Jack is wolfing hungrily and discussing things at the same time. His mouth is full of food.
JACK
Beckett is on Barbossa’s ship, that is, on the ship of Black Beard. One can’t cope up with the ship of Black Beard. Thou, if you are counting on Kraken, that’s a big question, Kraken has never fought with Black Beard. I mean, with Hector, now. If Barbossa entwist Kraken’s tentacles with ropes, it’s not clear, what the result for Kraken it will cause. Still, we can carry over such situation only if we catch Barbossa at a depth. However, Barbossa is not stupid. He is holing up somewhere in a shallow lagoon, you can’t lure him so easily onto the depth. Without depth your Kraken has no chance to get under the ship. Well, even if it gets, what’s the sense of it? You can’t draw the ship into depth of waters if there is no depth. Barbossa waves the sword-blade of Black Beard, tie Kraken up with ropes and throw it onto the shore. So Kraken will die there under the sun.
WILL
But you do have Rajah’s ring, don’t you?
JACK
The ring? Yes, I have a ring, but I don’t know how to use it. The djinn doesn’t want to talk to me even. He didn’t warn me about Jamba being on the Black Pearl! Here, look yourself.
Jack pokes the ring to Will’s face. Will sets his eye against the stone and quickly withdraws it back from the ring. His face is distorted.
WILL
Is this your interesting plan?
JACK
Well... It needs a bit of improvement.
Pause.
WILL
While the sward-blade of Black Beard is in Barbossa’s hands…
GIBBS
Replace this sward!
JACK
Here. That’s it! That was my plan.

Beckett and Jessica are in the cabin. The cabin is decorated with flowers. There are expensive coverlets around, as well as golden encrusted dishes and statues of precious metals with jewelries in them.
BECKETT
Jessica, please try to understand: I can buy any woman in the world. I can make any woman do what I want. But I want the only thing: I want you to be happy. Just look around. Look, don’t be stubborn. What are you refusing? Not a single queen in the world had that much you can possess.
JESSICA

There are Will, Peter, Elizabeth, Jack, Gibbs and former servant of Black Beard in the cabin. On the table there is a finished copy of Black Beard’s sword. Will takes the sword and takes half of it out of the sheath. He asks the former servant.
WILL
Do you think the blade looks alike with the original?
FORMER SERVANT
As alike as two peas, sir.
WILL
What about its weigh?
FORMER SERVANT
(takes the sword, checks the movement of it in the sheath)
Even moves the same way as the real one.
Jack sees the spot of blue color on the blade of the sword.
JACK
What the spot is this?

ELIZABETH
Now the most difficult part is left – we must replace the sword.
WILL
I think you’ll cope up with it, won’t you, Jack?

WILL
First, nobody beside you has ever served as a seaman on the ship of Black Beard. Second, this is your plan, is not t?
JACK
I have never served as a seaman on Black Beard’s ship. I completed an important and high-profile mission, that’s why I had to pretend to be a seaman. But While I was pretending to be a seaman I was a captain of the Black Pearl.
ELIZABETH
Yes, Jack. Will meant exactly what you say. Nobody but you have ever pretended to be a seaman on the ship of Black Beard.
JACK

PETER
Ok, captain Jack Sparrow, to put it short, no one of us knows even where on the ship the cabin of Barbossa is located
Jack is thinking hard, but can’t invent anything to refuse.
JACK

All the others are sighing with relief and encourage Jack.
GIBBS
I knew he will agree.

JACK
Is Black Pearl my after I do it?
WILL
Absolutely! Only yours!
THE BLACK PEARL. DECK. DAY
It can be seen from the deck that the ship is staying near the shore. Gibbs, Will, Peter and Elizabeth are seeing Jack off on the deck. Jack is going down to the boat.
GIBBS
(points at the island)
There is an entrance to the lagoon right behind this brow. A mile forward – and we shall see Barbossa’s ship.
WILL
(Jack)
When you have replaced the sword, shoot from a canon. It will be a signal, we shall approach at once.
JACK
Ok, ok, I remember everything.
ELIZABETH
Good luck, Jack.
Jack points at the ring of Rajah.
JACK
It’s always with me now.
LOCATION. BOARD OF THE SHIP REVENGE OF QUEEN ANNA. DAY.
Jack has swum up to a board of the ship and is rising on it, climbing the hemp. Having reached the board, he leans his feet into the ledges, presses himself to the board and looks around. Nobody noticed him. Jack approaches the window of captain’s cabin, moving on the ledges in the board. He peeps into the window. Barbossa, not yet dressed after the night sleep, eats the remnants of yesterday’s dinner, humming something to himself. He takes the bottle of rum and trie to pour some into the goblet, but the bottle is empty. Barbossa leaves the sight with an empty bottle. Barbossa’s monkey leans out of the window with a scream, Jack gets frightened so much that he almost falls from his board into the water.
JACK
Jack, you are the nastiest monkey in the whole world!
The monkey is fawning upon Jack as on an old acquaintance. Jack shows it a copy of the sword.
JACK
Listen, Jack. There is an absolutely the same thing somewhere there. Bring it here.
The monkey grasps the copy of the sword and carries it into the cabin. Jack twitches to follow her, he want to catch her, but the window is too narrow for him. The monkey puts the copied sword onto the table and Barbossa appears in the cabin. He is still humming under his breath. Jack crouches for Barbossa not to notice him. Barbossa carries a full bottle of rum in his hands. He fills the giblet and drinks it with great pleasure.
LOCATION. COMMAND BRIDGE OF THE SHIP REVENGE OF QUEEN ANNA. DAY.
Beckett is standing on the command bridge. He keeps a smoking pipe in his hands. Beckett fills the pipe with tobacco, wants to smoke and shouts to the second officer.
BECKETT
Tell the cook to bring me some coal. I want to feel as if I’m a real pirate.
LOCATION. THE DECK OF THE SHIP REVENGE OF QUEEN ANNA. DAY.
The cook is carrying some burning coals in an iron shovel. A bored pirate springs out in front of the cook.
BORED PIRATE
So what do we have for lunch, you, the king of crackers and dried carrot?
The cook shudders, One coal falls onto the deck near the opened scuttle. It rolls toward the scuttle and falls into it.
INTERIOR. BOTTOM DECK. DAY.
The coal is falling thought the scuttle, hits the ladder, bounces, falls on the downward ledge. Rolls along the ledge, falls from the ledge onto the cannon. An artilleryman, standing next to it, watches the coal, surprised. The coal rolls on the cannon’s surface towards the cap adapter and sinks into it. A shot sounds. The cannon is pushed backward by explosion force.
LOCATION. THE BOARD OF THE SHIP REVENGE OF QUEEN ANNA. DAY.
Jack hears the shot and gets surprised. He sees through the window that Barbossa has heard the shot himself and is worried about it. Barbossa starts to put on his clothes quickly.
THE BLACK PEARL. DECK. DAY
The Turners family and the team are standing on the deck. They hear the cannon shot.
PINTEL
The captain managed to do it!
A loud “Hurrah!” sounds.
GIBBS
(happily)
Sway up the sails. We are putting off for the bay.
LOCATION. BOARD OF THE SHIP REVENGE OF QUEEN ANNA. DAY.
Through the window Jack sees, that Barbossa has already clothed himself and is going to leave. Barbossa automatically takes the copy of the sword, hangs it on himself and leaves. Jack looks at Rajah’s ring.
